Cultural activities
In the context of an Indian educational institution, culture induction is especially important in defining the ethos and identity of a school. It lays the groundwork for creating a solid sense of pride, common values, and belonging among students, teachers, and the entire school community.
A profound appreciation for India’s rich heritage, different traditions, and traditional values can be instilled through culture induction in schools. It cultivates inclusivity, celebrates cultural diversity, and encourages tolerance for one another’s beliefs and traditions.
Schools can teach students about Indian history, languages, arts, music, dance, and festivals by actively incorporating cultural components into the curriculum, events, and daily routines. This helps to foster a sense of cultural identity and preserves the essence of Indian heritage. In addition to giving kids a solid cultural basis, culture introduction in schools helps them become well-rounded citizens of the world who appreciate variety, demonstrate tolerance, and make valuable contributions to society.
Here are a few we like to point out:
Speech & Drama
The way we speak and the mannerisms we embody are heavily influenced by our culture. Through speech and drama; we explore our culture and its diversity. Literature, languages, and regional and ethnic influences are explored and indulged in the process.
Ethnic Day
Indian attire is one of the most diverse and beautiful cultural attributes. We indulge in it on our ethnic day to the fullest. Our students explore and wear either the most exuberantly grand attire or the simplest handlooms that are elegant.
